Bring Me Your Vultures

The Mohawk Place was like a clubhouse for my group of friends as we were growing up (or not) and all of the other misfits in Buffalo for the last 20+ years. Last November when it was finally announced that the club was closing down for good, it was a pretty bigger shocker for everyone.  We crammed in as much fun as we could in the remaining months at the club, and my best friend (along with the help of my brother and a ton of our other friends) decided to document it's last days. Out of that footage came Bring Me Your Vultures; a documentary on the history, patrons and last days of The Mohawk.  I was happy to contribute what I could and aside from creating the film poster, I also created the branding and title sequences for the film. I'm really proud of all of the work that was put into the documentary by everyone (most of whom are my closest friends) and think something pretty rad came out of it. The official release day has been set for Jan 11th and more details will be released soon. You can follow the film at facebook.com/bringmeyourvultures There are more detail shots of the poster and some of the individual portraits up in the portfolio section.

New Work For Nitro Snowboards

Last year I worked with Nitro on three new boards for the 2014 season. This is a short promotional video on one of their new decks, The Uberspoon. Their art director Paul Brown and the company as a whole were awesome to collaborate with and I'm really proud of the work that came out of it. You can see close ups of the Uberspoon and the other two new boards in the portfolio section.  Keep an eye out for ten new boards for the 2015 season that will be premiering next year.

Ghost Shirt Merch

Ghost Shirt merch created for their 2011 Spring Tour, based off the artwork for their new record Daniel. Designed by myself and then printed by the awesome guys over at Wooden T Shirts, all in a break neck 19 hr turn time.

Ghost Shirt Daniel

I was really honored to be asked to create the artwork for the second great Ghost Shirt record to be released in 2010. Originally released in digital format only, the record will now see a physical release in 2011 by way of This is American Music Records. Look for the complete packaging in the Archived Portfolio in the next few weeks.

King of the World

Earlier this year I was asked to help create the logo and branding for King of the World : Elvis Tribute Artist World Championships in Memphis, TN by my friend John Paget, who I have worked with in the past on many projects for his two production companies Paget Films and First + Main Media. It's been great to work on and I look forward to showing more of the collateral we've created for it as it unfolds.

Less Than Jake

This is an admat that was created to promote Less Than Jakes Winter 2010 US Tour. Limited edition screen prints were also available as promos at the shows.

First + Main Media

First + Main Media is a bi-coastal media production studio formed by local documentarian John Paget and his partner Chris Elisara. I designed the logo for the company last summer and then with that in place we created some pretty serious business cards. These things are die-cut, perforated, letter pressed, debossed, and stamped with black foil. A crazy undertaking that is being brought to life by The Final Cut here in Buffalo. I'll have actual photos posted once they are in our hands.

Paper + Plastick Merch

Merch design created for Paper + Plastick Records online store, available now!

Jeff Wootton The Westbourne Sessions

Artwork and LP labels created for English musician Jeff Wootton. These were live sessions recorded with Mark Heaney (Gang of Four) and Si Jones (The Verve). A release date hasn't been set for this record yet due to Jeff's busy tour schedule as guitar player for Gorillaz and bass player for Beady Eye, but hopefully it will hit the shelves in the coming months.

BRMC Celebrates Their 1000th Show

This past December Black Rebel Motorcycle Club celebrated their 1000th show as a band in London at Brixton Academy and I was asked to design a commemorative print for the event. In addition to the posters, t shirts were also made and are available in BRMC's online store. There are also some special "band editions" that are in the works right now that I'll post pictures of as soon as they are finished.

The Black Keys

Here is the new Black Keys poster I designed for their show in Omaha, NE. The band was great to work with and the guys over at Vahalla did another flawless job on the printing. It was an edition of 100 and the remaining 35 copies are now available for purchase in the webstore.

Bearhunter Still Life Terrarium

Just finished up the packaging for the new Bearhunter record Still Life Terrarium, out May 22nd on Harvest Sum Recordings. The full artwork will be up in the archived portfolio this week.

Ghost Shirt Domestique

I recently finished the artwork for Ghost Shirt's great new record Domestique, which will be released in April on Anyway Records. You can go to www.ghostshirtmusic.com for more info on the release of Domestique, as well as information on the band's "52 Singles Project" where they are releasing one single for free each week for all of 2010.

Beat The Devil's Tattoo

I'm excited to finally be able to show an illustration of mine that was used as a fold out poster in Beat The Devil's Tattoo, the new Black Rebel Motorcycle Club record. The illustration was originally from one of the posters that I designed while at Hero, for BRMC's Spring 2008 tour. You can also buy the same artwork as a t-shirt design over at BRMC's webstore. The rest of the awesome packaging for Beat The Devil's Tattoo was created by Uprising Creative in LA.

Black Rebel Motorcycle Club

This is a new limited edition poster that I designed for Black Rebel Motorcycle Club's Beat The Devil's Tattoo US Tour. The posters are a silk-screened edition of 250 and are for sale at the shows. We will also have an additional 20 copies that will be for sale on this site after the tour has ended. Tour posters for the UK and European legs of the tour are in the works now. You can also check out an illustration of mine that was used as a fold out insert in the new record Beat The Devil's Tattoo, available this Tuesday, March 9th.
